Panthers Hockey Club (PHC) previously known as SSC (prior to 2012) is an established hockey club based in Leicester with community interest at heart. The club generates a vibrant family atmosphere, where players from all age groups, ethnic backgrounds and abilities get-together and enjoy the sport of hockey.
PHC are committed to developing all teams through our coaching and training provision and have very experienced coaching teams for each section. Join us for a fun and active hockey experience.

We have two men’s team competing in Midlands Hockey Adult Leagues under England Hockey.
1st team - Midlands Men's Division 5 East
2nd team - Midlands Men's Division 10 South East

Our mixed hockey team competes under Leicestershire Mixed Hockey League - Division 1.

Panthers Hockey are thrilled to announce ladies only hockey coaching for players of all abilities, weather you’re picking up a stick for the first time, or the first time in years, join us for some hockey!

When: Wednesday, 18:30 – 19:30
Cost: First 5 sessions free, then £2 per session

Whether you’re a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, Panthers Hockey Academy offers FREE hockey coaching for juniors aged 8 – 16 of all abilities.
We strongly believe hockey should be accessible to all children, as such, we DO NOT charge membership fees for our junior section. All our coaches are DBS checked and we require our coaches to complete England Hockey recommended safeguarding courses. We are passionate about developing hockey for the enjoyment of the sport in a safe and fun environment.

When: Tuesday, 17:00 – 18:30 (Term time only)
For 2024/2025,
Hockey is played in all weather conditions and we aim let parents know as early as possible if a session is cancelled due to adverse weather. Please ensure suitable clothing is worn.
Equipment
Equipment can be provided for children to play hockey. Children are also welcome to bring their own equipment.
In line with England Hockey, we Strongly recommend children wearing shin pads and gum shields whilst playing hockey. These are mandatory for any children playing in matches and tournaments.
Training is held on a 2G astroturf, suitable sports shows (trainers or astros) should be worn and comfortable clothing to run and play hockey in. It is important to bring weather appropriate clothing, such as raincoats, gloves, etc.
Registration
Please note, children must be registered prior to attending.
